... special time together with God

At St Mary's Church is a weekly event. It is all about 'doing Church' in a very different way. The idea is to 'celebrate' our God, our lives, our schools, our community - and much, much more - by joining together for 40 minutes or so on a Sunday morning at 9:30am.

Our lively and interactive services typically include music (the children will probably know some of the songs from school), drama and projections, and a chance to explore Bible stories. But we also try to make time for some quieter reflection and prayer. And after the service there’s the opportunity for a chat over a drink.

Age range? Well, as it says on the toy boxes, from birth to 100! 'Celebrate!' really is for everyone. It is exciting and sometimes moving, and together we share some fantastic experiences!

We really hope you will come along and find out what is happening. 'Celebrate!' is held from 9.30am every Sunday at St Mary's Church, Mill Street (between the King's Arms and The Plough), with time for coffee, squash and chat afterwards. Do come - anytime - we shall look forward to welcoming you!

People who give ...

The people at Celebrate! have given money to pay for 3 sheep in the Diocese of Dornakal in India to help enable widows to support themselves and their children. They have also committed to financially support a child for a year under the scheme run by the charity World Vision.

Please remember that 'Celebrate!' is for everyone! So:

Be confident to bring babies and toddlers - the noisier the better!
Don't worry about sitting and staying in one place - feel free to follow your children around!
It doesn't matter whether you usually go to Church or not. Everyone is welcome!

Drop in any Sunday - there's no obligation to come every time (although we hope you'll want to!)
